Sometimes life gives you challenges that seem impossible. It might feel like a canyon is between you and your objective. Perhaps just acknowledging that you are not in charge or control of this world might be helpful. Maybe letting go of grievances, fear, anxiety and taking one small step at a time. Eventually you'll find your way, and maybe it's not the way you thought it would be, but a whole different direction. 

I'm Not Nice

I'm not necessarily nice, but I always try to be kind. I think "nice" is very overrated and perhaps a bit narcissistic. You see, nice doesn't consider the consequences but is usually the path of least resistance. Kind, on the other hand, isn't looking for a pat on the head, it's just doing the right thing. Kindness by definition is thoughtful and virtuous, whereas nice is often superficial and pandering. Here's a little test for you: Next time you see the opportunity, do something kind with anonymity. If you can hardly stand not telling someone, you were being nice, and if you can keep it to yourself and it feels right, you just did an act of kindness. Don't worry, nobody is judging you here, and it might take some practice to make the change from nice to kind, but you will be making the world a better place. I've got to go now, my burrito is getting cold and we all know that's not good! 

 This is where I plan on sharing photos of interesting people I meet, and places I go. Always searching for a great burrito, either down the street or thousands of miles away. Of course, I like some other foods and beverages and will share anything that I find exceptional.

I grew up on rice, beans, and tortillas, but have expanded my palate considerably. I'm a picky eater, if you follow along, you may notice some things conspicuously missing from my diet. I'm almost always positive and focus on things I like, not things I dislike. If you're a negative person, you're welcome here, but I'll probably delete negative comments unless they are hilarious.
